Kate Middleton and Prince William finally meet baby Archie
It’s been one week since royal fans celebrated the birth of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s baby son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.
And now, the adorable tot has been visited by his famous aunt and uncle, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are said to have travelled from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor on Tuesday to meet the newest addition to the family.
Royal commentator Omid Scobie said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to spend the first few days as new parents on their own with their new bub.
“Archie’s first week at home with mum and dad was quiet, they wanted that personal time with their newborn,” he told Good Morning America.
"This week it's all about the visitors with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visiting tomorrow [Tuesday] and the Prince of Wales visiting later this week.”
During an engagement last week at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich, Prince William said he was “thrilled” about his new nephew.
“I'm very pleased and glad to welcome my own brother into the sleep deprivation society that is parenting,” he joked.
When asked if he had any pearls of wisdom for his younger brother as a father of three, William laughed and said, "Plenty of advice, plenty of advice, but no I wish him all the best and I hope the next few days they can settle down and enjoy having a newborn in their family and the joys that come with that."
Mum-of-three Kate added: "It's such a special time, obviously with Louis and Charlotte just having had their birthdays.”
“It's such a great time of year to have a baby, spring is in the air.”
And yesterday, Prince Harry seemed to still basking in the new parent glow, as he visited the Oxford Children’s Hospital.
He told a member of the public: “I’m not sure I’m used to it yet,” whne he was asked what it’s like being a father.
