Yahoo Lifestyle Karla Sofía Gascón Embraces the Burgundy Trend in Palazzo Pant Jumpsuit for ‘Jimmy Fallon’ Interview, Talks ‘Emilia Pérez’
Karla Sofía Gascón opted for one of the trendiest colors of the season during her appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday in New York City. The actress discussed her film “Emilia Pérez,” which has generated a lot of Oscar and awards buzz for the actress and her costars.
Gascón wore a burgundy jumpsuit with a cinched waist for a defined silhouette, three-quarter-length sleeves and a plunging neckline. The actress opted to forgo her black heels, which she carried in one hand upon taking the stage, in favor of white slippers — a subtle callback to when Angelina Jolie opted to go barefoot on the same late-night talk show.

When it came to her accessories, Gascón donned pieces courtesy of Pomellato, including bracelets, statement earrings, a necklace and a few delicate rings. The “Emilia Pérez” star’s hair was styled by Marc Mena and featured cascading waves running down one of her shoulders.
Gascón’s makeup featured a smokey eye and bold brows by artist Vincent Oquendo. The actress’ look was curated by stylist Freddy Alonso, who previously collaborated with Eva Longoria and Penélope Cruz, among others.
Gascón has generated a lot of Oscar buzz for her performance in “Emilia Pérez,” attending several awards shows and promotional events for the film. Throughout the press tour, Gascón wore a few pieces courtesy of Saint Laurent, who boasts a special connection to the film.
Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent Productions is a coproducer on “Emilia Pérez,” and many of the costumes came from Vaccarello’s archives. Vaccarello has been the creative director of Saint Laurent since 2016.
“Emilia Pérez,” directed by Jacques Audiard, stars Gascón, Zoe Saldaña and Selena Gomez. The film is a musical thriller about a cartel leader, played by Gascón, who enlists the help of under-appreciated lawyer Rita, played by Saldaña, to fake her own death and live as her most authentic self. The film is available to stream on Netflix.
