Kanye West's bizarre tribute to wife Kim Kardashian as she becomes a billionaire

Kanye West has celebrated wife Kim Kardashian West’s newly acquired billionaire status with a capsicum and some tomatoes.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has sold a stake in her beauty brand to Coty cosmetics company for $200 million, in a deal that values her business at $1 billion, and the rapper has marked her success with a bizarre tribute.

Kanye, 43, tweeted a photograph of a green bell pepper, a green tomato, a cherry tomato and three small flowers, writing: “I am so proud of my beautiful wife Kim Kardashian West for officially becoming a billionaire.”

He went on: “You’ve weathered the craziest storms and now God is shining on you and our family.

”So blessed this is still life. So I made you this still life. We love you so much.”

Coty - the company that owns CoverGirl, Tiffany & Co. and Balenciaga - have bought a 20 per cent stake in KKW Beauty. In 2019 they bought 51 per cent of Kim’s half-sister Kylie Jenner’s company Kylie Cosmetics for $600 million.

In April this year musician and fashion designer Kanye was himself declared a billionaire by Forbes magazine.

The Gold Digger rapper had long been campaigning to get himself onto the magazine’s annual billionaires list.

A former bodyguard to Kanye recently claimed the rapper calls the paparazzi on himself and has a list of diva demands - including refusing to press lift buttons himself.

Kanye and Kim, 39, married in 2014. They have four children seven-year-old North, four-year-old son Saint, two-year-old Chicago and one-year-old son Psalm.

The couple have been busy celebrating North’s seventh birthday with a cowgirl themed birthday party.
