Travis Kelce's NFL fate has been decided.

On Monday, April 29, the tight end signed a two-year extension to play with the Kansas City Chiefs. Kelce was originally signed through 2025.

Reportedly, the 34-year-old will make $34.3 million over the two-year term—becoming the NFL's highest-earning tight end. That puts is average annual value at $17.125 million over the next two seasons. New York Giants' Darren Waller previously held the record at $17 million, per Bleacher Report.

The official Chiefs Instagram account announced the news on Monday, writing, "We signed the greatest tight end ever to a new contract," along with photo art of Kelce.

In the comments, Instagram users reacted to Kelce's signing. One person declared, "Karma is the guy on the chiefs! 🐐" an ode to Taylor Swift's "Karma" lyric change in honor of her NFL beau.

Another person commented, "go taylor swift’s boyfriend," while another quoted lyrics from Swift's song, "Alchemy," writing, "Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?"

Meanwhile, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes wrote via X, "I told yall I’ll never let him leave!! Congrats my guy!"

The Chiefs also posted a video message from Kelce on the team's X account, writing, "Chiefs forever Tell ‘em,@tkelce."
