Who Is Justin Rose's Wife? All About Kate Rose and Her Relationship with the Pro Golfer

Justin Rose married his wife, Kate Rose, in 2006 and the couple have been collaborating in the world of golf ever since.

After the Full Swing star turned professional in 1998, he was represented by IMG, where Kate was working. The couple met in the early 2000s, began dating and married in 2006.

Three years later, Justin and Kate welcomed a son, Leo, and in 2012, they had a daughter, Charlotte. They’ve lived in the U.K., the U.S. and the Bahamas, and Kate has supported Justin throughout his career — which has included a U.S. Open win in 2013 and a gold medal at the Olympics in 2016.

Justin and Kate have also worked together to open their own foundation addressing childhood hunger and created a tour for female golfers during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2025, Justin opened up to Golf Digest about the couple's joint efforts and described his wife as having a “heart of gold.”

She was a gymnast

Kate grew up in Chiswick, a district of London, where she attended the Godolphin and Latymer Upper School for Girls.

According to her LinkedIn, Kate then went to the University of Sussex from 1994 to 1998, studying French and Italian. She was also on the university’s hockey team and part of the University Royal Naval Unit.

Kate was involved in gymnastics when she was younger and has remained interested in sports, both collaborating with her husband in his golf career and enjoying skiing.

In 2014, she posted a photo of herself on X and wrote, “Lovely getaway to Aspen - role reversal with @JustinRose99 the spectator whilst I ski for first time in 17 years!”

They met through work and married in 2006

Justin and Kate first met while she was an assistant at IMG, the company representing him at the time. Due to her work, she traveled to tournaments Justin was playing in and the future couple eventually met and started dating.

Justin and Kate married in December 2006 during a break in the golfer's schedule. As the golfer had a few weeks to enjoy married life before getting back to work, he told The Telegraph at the time, "I was always going to be happy about getting married no matter what — but I have to admit that the wedding champagne will be tasting that bit sweeter.”

To celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary in 2017, Justin posted a photo of Kate on Instagram with the caption, “Happy 11th Wedding Anniversary to the beautiful and bright Kate Rose! The force behind Team 🌹15 years we've been together. It's been an amazing journey.”

That same year, they also celebrated their anniversary by having Kate caddy for Justin at the Indonesian Masters. He said at the time, via France 24, “It's over our wedding anniversary, so it's going to be a whole different type of challenge. Finish with a flourish and all that ... We'll make it fun."

She shares two children with Justin

Justin and Kate’s first child, son Leo, was born in Florida on Feb. 21, 2009. Their daughter Charlotte, whom they call Lottie, followed in early January 2012.

Both children have followed their parents' footsteps into sports — Leo plays soccer while Lottie has competed in horseriding.

For Leo’s 15th birthday in 2024, Kate posted a photo of him on Instagram and wrote, "You made me a Mummy and have kept me on my toes every day since! You are the most original, hilarious, spirited, entrepreneurial, generous, dog loving, fragrance obsessed teen who surprises with your depth of thought.”

To celebrate Lottie’s 12th birthday in 2024, Kate posted a photo of her swimming with a dolphin on Instagram, calling her a “ray of sunshine” and writing, “Words can’t describe how much joy you bring into this world." The mother-daughter duo also went to a Taylor Swift concert that year.

They have lived in the U.K., the U.S. and the Bahamas

Justin and Kate lived in London in the early days of their marriage and then moved to Lake Nona in Orlando, a popular community for golfers.

Per The Telegraph, Justin and Kate also had a ranch in a luxury resort in the Bahamas, and their family was based there in 2014. The community first opened in 2010 with golfers Tiger Woods and Ernie Els involved in the inauguration, and many golfers are members.

In 2017, Justin told The Telegraph about their life in the Bahamas.

“I’m on America’s doorstep, I get to dip my toe in and play the tour very easily, but there’s a flight back to London every day," he said. "Kate is determined that our children feel English, that this should be who they are. She adores London, as a Chiswick girl born and bred. We are here for eight weeks this summer — it will be exciting for us to be a little less nomadic.”

Justin and Kate manage a foundation together

The couple founded the Kate and Justin Rose Foundation in 2009 to focus on the nutritional and education needs of children living in poverty in Central Florida.

Justin and Kate work with Blessings in a Backpack to help feed children around Orlando, Fla., and work with BookTrust to provide kids with access to books.

In 2021, Justin won the Payne Stewart Award, given to a golfer showing “character, sportsmanship and commitment to charitable giving." When bestowing the honor, PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan said the couple had made "inspiring progress ... through their family’s foundation," per Golf Digest.

In 2025, Justin explained that Kate is particularly passionate about their philanthropic activities, saying, “It’s why she gets top billing. She’s got a heart of gold.”

They started the Rose Ladies Series for female golfers

In 2020, the couple created the Rose Ladies Series so that female golfers could keep playing despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kate told The Telegraph two years later, “We thought it would just be a stopgap until the LET [Ladies European Tour]  got back on its feet, but we had an 11-tournament series last year, with the money doubled and, after playing at Royal St George’s in 2020, we went to other brilliant links such as Royal Birkdale and Hillside.”

Justin changed his golf ball number to honor Kate

Kate often supports Justin in his career, appearing at tournaments and events to do so. She was also a board director of the PGA Tour Wives Association from 2006 to 2010.

To repay her years of support, Justin changed the number on his golf ball to 99, because 9 is Kate’s lucky number, per Golf WRX.

They often make public appearances together

In 2024, Kate and Justin went to Wimbledon and sat in the Royal Box on day three, while later that year they were involved with the Duke of Edinburgh Cup alongside its patron, Prince Edward.

Kate wrote on Instagram at the time that she and Justin were “delighted to help host so many countries at Windsor Castle for the Golf Finale.”

The previous year, Justin and Kate attended the Ryder Cup Gala Dinner together, while in 2016, the couple attended the Horan and Rose event, as part of an initiative between Justin and singer Niall Horan.
