Justin Bieber’s Pastor Married Lana Del Rey and Her Alligator Tour Guide Husband Jeremy Dufrene

Del Rey and Dufrene tied the knot in Louisiana on Sept. 26, and pastor Judah Smith officiated the wedding

A familiar face helped Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene tie the knot!

Del Rey, 39, married her alligator tour guide husband, 49, in Louisiana on Thursday, Sept. 26, but the marriage license has just been signed and returned to the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court on Friday, Oct. 18, per the Associated Press.

The documents revealed Justin and Hailey Bieber's pastor Judah Smith, 46, officiated the wedding, per the AP.

The Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court didn't immediately respond when contacted by PEOPLE.

This isn't the first time fans have seen a link between Del Rey and Smith, as she included a song titled "Judah Smith Interlude" on her 2023 album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.

The Biebers also remain close to Smith, who is a pastor on the leadership team at Churchome in Los Angeles, and has long guided the couple.

"Justin and Hailey are really involved in their church community," an insider close to Justin told PEOPLE in July.

According to the AP, the 10-day cut-off rule in Louisiana stating marriage licenses need to be returned by the officiant to the issuing office was on Wednesday, Oct. 16; two days before Del Rey's was filed. However, the clerk's office said there are times when "exceptions are made," the outlet stated.

The license listed a residence for the pair in Des Allemands, where they got married, the AP added.

PEOPLE previously confirmed the pair had said their "I do's" at the Des Allemandes public bayou where Dufrene works as a captain at Airboat Tours by Arthur.

The nuptials came three days after PEOPLE stated the couple had obtained a marriage license from the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court on Sept. 23.

After they obtained the license they had 30 days from the date they applied to get married.

Following the wedding, a source told PEOPLE, "The ceremony and reception were both held in the same bayou where Jeremy operates his swamp boats tours."

The source said the location meant a lot to the couple, as it's "where they first met."

"It's a special place for them," the insider said, adding, "It was a beautiful, relaxed and family-focused wedding. The focus was just on their love story."

The source told PEOPLE that the pair "reconnected earlier this year" after their first meeting in Louisiana several years ago, seemingly referring to the photos Del Rey shared with Dufrene on Facebook in 2019 when she took one of his alligator tours.

The insider added: “It's been kind of a whirlwind romance, but Lana's close friends hoped she would get married. Jeremy is different from the men that Lana meets in the entertainment world. He's a great guy. He's charming and charismatic in a Southern way, very much a gentleman and he treats Lana really well. She's an old soul."
