Julian McMahon opens up about Dannii

When Julian McMahon and his gorgeous bride-to-be Kelly Paniagua arrive to commemorate their thrilling engagement news with a photoshoot in Los Angeles, it's immediately clear that this effervescent couple are perfect for each other.

There's no doubt third time's the charm for this committed couple, although while Julian has a 'very easygoing' relationship with his 13-year-old daughter Maddy's mother Brooke and her husband Gavin O'Connor, the same can't be said about his first wife Dannii Minogue.

In an exclusive interview with New Idea, out now, the actor reveals 'there were never any hard feelings' between him and Dannii:

"I was well aware that we just weren't going to be able to make it work," he says.

"Maybe if we were a little more mature... Oh look, to be honest I wouldn't have wanted to make it work."

Now ready to take the plunge again, while Julian reveals he had 'planned on proposing for while' to his gorgeous partner of 11 years, the Aussie actor decided to opt for a unique and spontaneous proposal - enlisting the help of his 13-year-old daughter Madison while they were on route to a family holiday!

"When we got on the plane, I told Maddy that I wanted to propose to Kelly in Paris but I wasn't sure we were going to get there, so do you think maybe we should propose on the plane together?"
