Joy Behar Defends Her High-Waisted Pants After “View” Co-Host Ana Navarro Says She 'Looks Like Urkel'
"The girl is trolling me," Behar said on air of the roast
Did she do that?
On Thursday's episode of The View, Joy Behar was prepared to defend her outfit when one of her co-hosts compared it to a certain '90s sitcom character.
"I wanted to just tell everybody I got a text from Ana Navarro," Behar said on air.
"And she said, she goes, ‘Pull your pants down. They’re riding all the way up to your boobs.’ She said, ‘You look like Urkel.’"

For the taping, Behar, 81, dressed in a black sweater and high-waisted red trousers, which Navarro, 51, ultimately compared to that of Family Matters' Steve Urkel.
After reading her friend's text aloud, Behar got out of her seat, stood up, and showed off the red pants, prompting plenty of laughter from the audience over the comparison. "How's this, Ana?" Behar said to the cameras after lifting her pants up higher. "Like this better, Ana?"
"The girl is trolling me, okay? I’ll see you tomorrow, Ana!"
Even Alyssa Farah Griffin backed her up on air, declaring that "they're high-waisted" after the Urkel diss.

The high-waisted pants may have caused a stir, but they weren't the first time Behar's outfit led to an aside on air. Back in February, the host suffered a wardrobe malfunction while filming a Valentine's Day episode of The View, when she and Whoopi Goldberg joked about what took place over a commercial break.
"The biggest surprise happened to us seconds ago when Joy's bra started making all kinds of eyes at people at the table," Goldberg, 68, said. "It was like an earthquake and suddenly the bra was like, 'Hello!' It was something else," she said.
Behar then quipped that it was her "special gift to all the old people out there on Valentine's Day."
"Well she almost put my eye out from where I was sitting," Goldberg added.

And even a month before her malfunction, Behar had to defend a black and white striped blazer on set, as her co-hosts compared it to both Beetlejuice and a Foot Locker employee.
While it's unclear if she'll open up about her style in it, Behar will be detailing her life in a new book slated for release in late 2024 or early 2025. The project, announced at the top of the month, will be released via publisher Regalo Press and will showcase the comedian's "acute powers of observation and her ability to vividly recreate the little details and fleeting moments that make up a lifetime."
