Jorge Prado Shoulder Surgery Needed, Out for Remainder of Supercross Season
Yesterday, the Monster Energy Kawasaki team announced that Jorge Prado would be out for this weekend's Glendale Supercross Triple Crown because of his time qualifying crash at Anaheim 2 last Saturday, dislocating the right shoulder.
Today, Prado posted an update on his Instagram, revealing that surgery will be needed to repair his dislocated shoulder, forcing him to miss the remainder of the Supercross season.
Bad news :/ Surgery is needed to fix my shoulder and I will be out for the rest of the Supercross season. Time of rehab is unknown and hopefully I can make it to the start of outdoors. I will be back strong like I always do 💪🏻 - Jorge Prado via Instagram
The rehab timeframe is unknown at this time, and Prado hopes to return for the AMA Pro Motocross Championship season opener at Fox Raceway at the end of May.

During round 3 of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship from Anaheim 2 in Anaheim, California, the first 450SX timed qualifying session, Prado crashed into the nets after the long rhythm section and was seen leaving the track on the back of the Alpinestars mobile medical unit in a sling on his right shoulder.
His season-best finish is from San Diego, round 2 of the series, placing 12th.
