Joey King Embraces Pastel Hues in Miu Miu Dress With Sheer and Ruffle Details for Critics Choice Awards 2025

Joey King attended the 30th Annual Critics Choice Awards, which took place on Friday night in Santa Monica, Calif., walking the red carpet in Miu Miu.

Jared Deng styled the actress. Her pastel dress featured sheer paneling, lace embroidery and ruffle details. Thin spaghetti straps supported the fitted top, transitioning into a sheer midsection, revealing a delicate corset detail. The dress extended into a long, straight skirt in a soft mint hue with lace-trimmed panels running vertically down the sides and slit up the back.

King paired the gown with pointed pastel blue heels that peeked out from beneath the floor-length skirt. Her accessories included a silver TAG Heuer timepiece, drop earrings and a thin choker necklace from Pomellato, which she has been a brand ambassador for since 2023. Her makeup featured a soft pink lip and defined eyes, while her hair was styled in a half-up, half-down look with braids framing the crown of her head.

Although King was not nominated this year, she was previously recognized by the Critics Choice Awards in 2020, earning a nomination for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television for her role as Gypsy Rose Blanchard in “The Act.” The actress attended the ceremony as presenter.

The 30th Annual Critics Choice Awards takes place on Friday, broadcasting live on E! from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The ceremony, originally scheduled for Jan. 12 and then Jan. 26, was postponed due to catastrophic wildfires in the Los Angeles area. Chelsea Handler returns as host for the third consecutive year, leading the star-studded event that celebrates the most outstanding achievements in film and television for 2024.
