Like the super private actor, his brothers stay primarily out of the spotlight, however, Alwyn has shared a few details about his family life from time to time.

And Taylor Swift fans may have picked up on a few references to Alwyn's brothers in her songs, when she dated Alwyn from 2016 to April 2023.

Alwyn’s younger brother has also made headlines of his own as he’s been linked to a few big names through the years, including someone with close ties to Swift.

They grew up in England

The Alwyn family is from England; the actor was born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England, but was raised in North London by his father, a documentary filmmaker, and his mother, a psychotherapist.

As his father traveled a lot for work, Alwyn recalled to The Guardian that his father was “often away” as he grew up, but would always bring back “cool gifts" for the kids.

Thomas works for an NGO

According to The Guardian interview published in 2022, Alwyn’s brother Thomas is older than him and works for a non-governmental organization (NGO).

Patrick is significantly younger than him

Meanwhile, Alwyn’s brother Patrick is “much younger” than him, per The Guardian, which noted that Patrick was born while Alwyn was at secondary school.

Patrick has been linked to a handful of celebrities

Alwyn is not the only one to experience a high-profile relationship; Patrick has been attached to some big names himself. He was previously linked to Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann’s daughter Iris Apatow, before sparking dating rumors with Sadie Sink, who notably starred in Swift’s All Too Well short film. In September 2021, they were spotted hanging out in New York together, however, their relationship was never confirmed.

They’ve been mentioned in Taylor Swift’s songs

As their relationship inspired several Taylor Swift songs, it's not surprising that has made various references to his brothers and family in her lyrics.

In "Paper Rings" from Lover, Swift details some of her private moments with Alwyn, including when they painted his brother's room blue together.

Swift makes another reference to Alwyn’s siblings in “Peace” from Folklore as she talks about her close bond with Alwyn makes them chosen family: “now that I see your brother as my brother.”
