Jodie Turner-Smith Dishes On Co-Parenting With Joshua Jackson

Jodie Turner-Smith recently opened up about what co-parenting has been like since she filed for divorce from fellow actor Joshua Jackson.

In a Glamour UK article published Wednesday, the “Queen & Slim” star said that learning to co-parent after a breakup requires an “adjustment period.”

Her divorce filing in October 2023 came after four years of marriage to Jackson, known for his work on TV shows like “Dawson’s Creek.” They share a 4-year-old daughter, Juno.

Turner-Smith told Glamour UK that “nobody hands you a manual” on how to co-parent.

“Everyone’s trying to figure it out,” she said. “Each parent has a different life, and especially if the reason why you’re splitting up is because you have different lives, it’s only further complicated by how you’re going to coparent.”

When asked for her thoughts on Jackson and Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o fueling dating rumors months after he and Turner-Smith split, the British actor brushed it off.

“He can do whatever he wants,” she responded. “Just be good to Juno and be good to Juno’s mum, because I’m going to be Juno’s mum forever.”

She added, “It’s really not for me to have an opinion on his journey.”

Turner-Smith previously opened up about her breakup with Jackson earlier this year, telling Britain’s Sunday Times Style: “Sometimes things we really want to work just don’t end up working. ... And that’s OK.”

She said at the time that she didn’t consider their marriage ending to be a “failure.”

“We obviously had such a beautiful moment together,” she added. “And now it’s time for a new moment for both of us. And how exciting!”
