Following growing specualtion that they were living separate lives, Jessica Marais and James Stewart have confirmed their amicable separation after six years together.
"Jessica Marais and James Stewart have amicably separated. Their main focus at this time is the co-parenting of their daughter and they ask that media respect their privacy," read a statement confirming the news.
In this week's New Idea insiders revealed that the former Packed To The Rafters co-stars, who were engaged for almost five years, have been living separate lives.

Speculation grew following their daughter Scout’s third birthday celebrations on May 9 on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
Insiders revealed that Jessica, 30, spent the morning with the brightly clad birthday girl, piggybacking her around and treating her to an outing at a playground and a snack at a fast-food chain with her young cousin.
By the afternoon, Jessica had delivered Scout back to doting dad James, 39, who hosted a colourful afternoon tea party in her honour at a nearby park.

The insider also revealed that the former lovebirds barely exchanged a word, and Jessica did not attend the party.
"The couple have been keeping the break-up under wraps," the insider tells New Idea exclusively.
"It seems Jess and James are now co-parenting Scout, despite no longer living together. They are taking turns to spend time with their daughter".
