Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake shock with transformation: ‘Screaming'

Hollywood couple Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake have undergone a massive transformation for their latest project, Hulu’s mini-series Candy.

The series is based on the true story of axe murderer Candy Montgomery, played by Jessica, who murdered her neighbour Betty Gore in 1980.

For the role, the actress traded her usual long brunette locks for a shocking perm, which some have compared to looking like a ‘poodle’.

Fans also couldn’t help but compare the hairstyle to Justin’s in *NSYNC, with the actress even weighing in with her opinion.

“We laughed about it because it looked like the early days of those beautiful curls,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

“Let’s get serious, he had beautiful curls. And his mum, now actually has like, current, really cool hipster short curly hair. It’s weird, it kind of resembles both of them. At the same time.”

Fans did a double take when seeing Jessica’s transformation, and not all the comments were kind.

“I didn’t think anything could overcome Jessica Biel’s 100,000 watt smile until I met her wig in Candy,” one wrote.

“I can’t get over Jessica Biel’s hair y’all. Short perms ain’t the look,” a second pointed out.

“I don’t know if anyone is as obsessed with this Jessica Biel transformation in this show as I am,” another commented.

While the star’s husband Justin only appears in the later episodes of the show, fans have also gone wild for his very 80s-style look.

Playing Stephen Deffibaugh, the Collin County investigator who is in charge of solving the murder, the singer has a large moustache paired with a very sensible looking wig.

“I am absolutely SCREAMING at Justin Timberlake in Candy oh my GOD,” a fan exclaimed.

“I didn’t even recognise it was him,” another added.

“Wow, I seriously had no clue that was Justin Timberlake. Lol the 70s and 80s making folks look skeezy,” a third chimed in.

The singer and actor wasn’t originally meant to be in the show, but after he read the script, he wanted to be involved.

Talking to Variety, Jessica revealed that she thought her husband was joking when he asked to be a part of the mini-series.

When discussing the role, Justin offered to do it for free — as long as he could have a memorable look.

“All he wanted was a prosthetic belly and a wig. And he goes, ‘You don’t have to pay me anything. Just make sure I have my wig that I want, make sure I have a prosthetic belly’,” she told the publication.

Candy will be available to watch in Australia on Disney Plus, on July 27.
