Married At First Sight viewers can get ready to buckle in for an explosive first in the history of the reality show’s Aussie series.

A promo for Sunday night’s episode shows Jessika Power and Dan Webb come clean about their secret affair, before proposing the idea they re-enter the experiment as a brand new couple.

“I came into this wanting to find somebody that I could build a life with,” Jess tells the show’s experts at the commitment ceremony.

“I’ve found that but it’s not with Mick… It’s with Dan,” she confesses.

Her husband Mick, who of course has suspected all along that Jess is fake, is still absolutely gobsmacked and disgusted by his wife’s behaviour. Afterall, she’s kept him in the experiment for the past few weeks, just so she can cosy up to Dan.

“You are the most selfish brat,” he claims, before footage is shown of the farm-loving contestant storming out of the studio.

Meanwhile Dan’s wife Tamara is just as shattered, telling Jess the betrayal hits hard because she’s had her back.

But perhaps the biggest internal dilemma lies with the experts, John Aiken, Dr Trish Stratford and Mel Schilling, who now have to decide whether they’ll facilitate Jess and Dan’s request to come back as a new couple.

“Just so that we’re all clear, is that what you’re asking Jess?” asks John.

Viewers are then shown a scene in which the experts hold their own private crisis meeting.

“This really sits uncomfortably,” says John.

We’ll see the drama unfold when Married At First Sight continues on Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine.
