Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck's Kids Have the Cutest Holiday Traditions
Garner has "drilled" Christmas spirit into her family.
Jennifer Garner is ecstatic that Christmas is around the corner, and so are her and Ben Affleck's three children, thanks to her instilling a passion for the holiday season throughout the years. Now that Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel are all grown up, they each have sweet traditions and a unique specialty that they will contribute for Christmas dinner—and Garner is excited to see them put it into practice.
"I have one kid who specializes in mashed potatoes, that's their specialty, I have one kid who is all about making an apple pie, that's their specialty, and then I have one who goodness only knows what she will make," the actress told People.
Much like Garner, the Affleck kids are already in Christmas mode as December 25 draws near. "The other night I got home from work, and my son had Christmas music playing full blast through the whole house, and he was wearing an apron and he was making ginger snaps," Garner explained. "It was just like, 'That's what I'm looking for. That is the energy that I want to see brought to our house right now.'"
As for what Garner has planned this holiday season for her and Affleck's brood of three: "We'll definitely go see The Nutcracker, because that is a huge part of Christmas for me and for my kids—thank goodness I've drilled it into them—and just being together with family."
That holiday spirit also extends to how Garner, Affleck, and their kids spent Thanksgiving—Garner, Affleck, and their kids volunteered at The Midnight Mission's annual Thanksgiving Street Fair in Los Angeles. The family of five served free meals to the homeless community and were pictured wearing aprons from the non-profit organization. A source told People, “They truly enjoy giving back to their community and cherishing quality time together as a family."
