Jason Tartick Is 'Truly Euphoric' 6 Months After Calling Off Kaitlyn Bristowe Engagement: 'Never Felt Better'
Tartick said over the past few months he has "put so much effort, time and work into understanding myself at the deepest levels"
Jason Tartick has a renewed outlook on life and love in the aftermath of his broken engagement to Kaitlyn Bristowe.
The Bachelorette alum, 35, answered some messages in a Q&A session on Instagram on Thursday, and shared a glimpse into his mindset after someone sent him a message saying, “hope you are thriving.”
“I can say with certainty, I have never felt better,” Tartick said. “I have put so much effort, time and work into understanding myself at the deepest levels and further understanding others.”
“The liberation of knowing yourself to the core and then being able to see others for who they really are and why is truly euphoric,” he added.
He went on to say that his “biggest takeaway” from his past experience was to “keep pointing the thumb at yourself” and “do everything in your power to hold yourself accountable.”
“Know exactly who you are and why,” he continued. “We all have experienced traumas from our first memories that impact who we are today. Lean in!”
Another person asked him what his “no.1” flag was that a person wasn’t right during the dating stage, to which he suggested following a person’s own instincts.
“I’m logical guy but when it comes to this new world of dating, I’m all about following my intuition and gut,” the reality star shared. “Reason, rational, logic allll out the window. All gut feeling and guiding intuition.”
Tartick and Bristowe, 38, called off their engagement in August 2023 after four years together, sharing a joint statement on social media.
"After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement," the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post.
They added, "Continuing our friendship is incredibly important to both of us. We feel grateful to be ending our engagement with love and respect for each other. It’s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for one another will never die."
Following the split, Tartick revealed on his podcast Trading Secrets that he had been “trying to survive.”
"It's just sad, it's lonely, it's an empty feeling," he said. "And there's times where you have these just tidal waves of depression. I'm not trying to thrive here. You know, I am trying to barely survive here."

Bristowe shared her own thoughts on the split on her podcast Off the Vine. "It's sad. We are both so sad. You know, you think you're gonna spend your life with somebody ... we're grieving a loss."
"Maybe in six months from now, we go, ‘Yeah, this was the right move,'" she continued. "And maybe in six months, we go, ‘You know what, I want to choose you.’ But we haven’t been choosing each other."
