Jason Kelce has had one incredible year.

As he prepares to embark on his next chapter as part of ESPN's Monday Night Countdown, Kelce opens up to PEOPLE about what his family life has been like in retirement so far.

Asked about his most perfect day this year so far, the retired athlete tells PEOPLE it was getting to take his three daughters — Bennett, 17 months, Elliotte, 3½, and Wyatt, 4½ — to Disney World in early February.

"The most perfect day is probably going to Walt Disney World with the kids. I don't know that anything tops that," he tells PEOPLE.

The father of three, who shares his little ones with wife Kylie Kelce, went on to joke that taking on a theme park with three kids under 4 is "definitely not perfect," but still meaningful all the same.

"As far as like memorable moments and things that you have with you forever, though? I think that it definitely tops the list. But anybody that's been in Walt Disney World with kids under 4 years old knows it's not exactly perfect, but fun."

The NFL veteran will enjoy his first season off the field this year, but there will be no shortage of fun times as he takes on the role of Fanbassador for Marriott Bonvoy and Courtyard — the Official Hotel Loyalty and Official Hotel Partners of the NFL, respectively.

Starting Sept. 5 and continuing every Thursday throughout the entire NFL regular season, Jason will debut a new Marriott Bonvoy Moment, where Marriott Bonvoy members will have the opportunity to bid their Marriott Bonvoy points for incredible football-related experiences inspired by, and alongside, the NFL analyst on ESPN’s new Monday Night Countdown.

"I'm excited for all the things that I've never really been able to participate with fans because I've been a player through all these years. Now, I get to be a fan for the first time," he says.

Taking a look back at his 13 years with the Philadelphia Eagles, Kelce says that it's hard to pick a favorite moment.

"There's different ones at different parts of your career," he explains. "The first one is when your parents come to watch you play your first game ever in the NFL. That's a top one. And draft night, that's huge. That's the moment your dreams of playing in the NFL have been realized and your entire family and a lot of friends are there for support. For me, some of my college teammates were all there too, so that was huge."

Some might think that winning the big game would be his top pick, but for Jason, it wasn't about the win as much as who he got to share it all with.

"My wife on the field after the game with me after winning the Super Bowl, that's spectacular. And even when we lost the Super Bowl, my brother and I played in a Super Bowl against each other. My mom got to be celebrated for an entire week as basically the NFL's mom, as well as my kids being around for the first time and experiencing something like that, even though they're probably too young where they won't remember it. Those are some of the big highlights for sure."
