Jason Kelce is ready to live the NFL fan experience, along with some of the folks who do it best.

On September 4, Marriott Bonvoy and Courtyard — the Official Hotel Loyalty and Official Hotel Partners of the NFL, respectively — are honoring the retired Philadelphia Eagles center in his first season as a fan. Jason has been announced as their first-ever ‘Fanbassador,’ where he will be bringing unforgettable football-related experiences to NFL fans all season long.

Speaking with PEOPLE about what he's looking forward to as a Fanbassador this season, Jason recalls his most intense fan experience. It was, of course, his appearance in upstate New York to cheer on brother Travis Kelce at the Bills-Kansas City Chiefs divisional playoff game

"It was a fun one," Jason tells PEOPLE. "Part of it is the Bills Mafia in that tailgate and like everything before the game to during the game. It was a whole experience that I had never really taken part in. I think there's some other fan bases, including one in my own hometown, that I'm looking forward to potentially being able to partake in some of the shenanigans as well."

He continues, "But Buffalo really... I mean, it was part weather, part the fact that it was such a huge playoff game for both teams. The atmosphere and everything was just so special that evening."

"Yeah, I think I kind of got possessed by fandom on that occasion," he says, adding with a laugh, "Probably alcohol as well, but we'll leave it at fandom."

As a fanbassador, Jason says he can't wait to "bring the excitement and the energy."

"I'm excited for all the things that I've never really been able to participate with fans because I've been a player through all these years. Now, I get to be a fan for the first time," he says.

Starting September 5 and continuing every Thursday throughout the entire NFL regular season, Kelce will debut a new Marriott Bonvoy Moment, where Marriott Bonvoy members will have the opportunity to bid their Marriott Bonvoy points for incredible football-related experiences inspired by, and alongside, the NFL analyst on ESPN’s new Monday Night Countdown.

"I'm operating on behalf of Marriott Bonvoy and Courtyard Marriott to bring these experiences to life. In particular, we're doing a couple that have already been announced. There's 18 of them throughout the season — one every week. But I'm looking forward to the pool party at a Courtyard in LA with the Eagles-Rams game."

"Then I'm also potentially picking a fantasy football league’s loser's punishments," he reveals. "I got some good ideas up my sleeve, so I'm looking forward to that as well."

The NFL veteran and father of three has every reason to look forward to the season ahead, even if he won't be on the line of scrimmage during games like he used to.

"I'm excited. We'll see what it feel like and everything, but I'm excited to get it going. We've been waiting and kind of preparing for so long. It's similar to training camp at this point where you're like, man, can we get to these games already?" he laughs.

"At the same time, you know, I am nervous a little bit and anxious to see what it's actually going to feel like to do something like this. Luckily, I got a really, really good team with ESPN and a crew that is very experienced. So I feel confident that at the very end of the day, at least those guys are going to look good. So I can't look that bad, and it'll be great."
