Jane Seymour is speaking out against ageism for women, declaring that age is just a number in new comments that she shared while celebrating the New York City premiere of her new movie, Irish Wish.

Seymour, 73, pushed back against the idea of women having “sell-by” dates during a conversation last week with Page Six.

The English actress told the publication that life “does go on” and added, “I don’t think there is a sell-by date for women unless they choose it.”

Seymour, who was a Bond girl in the 1973 James Bond movie Live and Let Die, said she often hears people asking if she wishes she could go back to being younger. But that idea doesn’t appeal to Seymour, who said she has gained “so much experience” and lived “such a rich life” filled with “so many friends.”

“My life is very full now, and hopefully I’m wiser,” she told Page Six.

The Wedding Crashers actress’ movie credits date back to the early 1970s. She has maintained an active career for more than five decades and has also appeared in dozens of television shows over the years.

Seymour’s next film is Irish Wish, a Netflix romantic comedy starring Lindsay Lohan that is scheduled for release on March 15. Seymour plays Rosemary Kelly, the mother of Lohan’s character, Maddie Kelly, in the film.

True to her positive attitude about age, Seymour has continued to wow fans with gorgeous outfits on the red carpet, as she did during the Irish Wish premiere and again days later at the 17th Annual WIF Oscar Nominees Party in Los Angeles, Calif. While at the New York City premiere on March 5, Seymour was photographed wearing a glittery gold off-the-shoulders dress. She later posed in a bold red strapless gown while walking the red carpet at the WIF Oscar Nominees Party on March 8.
