Jamie Foxx 'Humbled' by NAACP Nominations and ‘Thankful’ for ‘Second Chance to Enjoy and Appreciate Life’
The actor, 56, reacted to his three nominations for the 55th NAACP Image Awards in an Instagram post Saturday
Jamie Foxx is feeling grateful.
On Friday, the actor, 56, shared an emotional post in reaction to the nominations he received for the 55th NAACP Image Awards, as he also opened up about getting “a second chance” at life in a candid moment on Instagram.
“Super thankful to the @naacpimageawards for these nominations,” Foxx said of his nominations for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for The Burial, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for They Cloned Tyrone and Outstanding Independent Motion Picture for Story Ave, for which he is a producer.
“I cannot tell you how great it feels to be recognized by our own … and big thanks to @datariturner your vision and your relentlessness to get all of our projects done at the top of expertise and execution has been something to marvel,” the actor continued.

“You have put Foxxhole productions on the map, and we continue to keep making incredible artistic strides!!!”
Foxx then appeared to address the medical complication he experienced last April as he wrote, “And on a personal note I am humbled and thankful to God that I get a chance a second chance to enjoy and appreciate life … ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” tagging his sister Deidra Dixon and daughter Corinne Foxx, who he previously said "saved my life" through the ordeal.
Foxx’s latest post comes after he was spotted back on set as he resumed filming for the Netflix film Back in Action with costar Cameron Diaz last week, after leaving mid-shoot following a medical emergency in April.

The actor began filming the action-comedy flick in December 2022 as he was seen at the time filming various scenes with Diaz, 51, in London.
Foxx later experienced a “medical complication," daughter Corinne, 29, announced in a post on April 12, 2023. The project was "shut down" the same day of the post, PEOPLE confirmed at the time.

Following his health scare last year, the actor is said to be feeling “fantastic” and will continue to shoot through February, a source told PEOPLE last week.
“Jamie is indeed back on set and shooting through February,” the insider said. “He looks and feels fantastic.”
In August, Foxx opened up further about his health battle as he said he is "finally starting to feel like myself" after an "unexpected dark journey" in a reflective post.
"You’re lookin at a man who is thankful … finally startin to feel like myself … it’s been an unexpected dark journey … but I can see the light," he wrote next to photos of himself. "U just don’t know how much it meant … I will be thanking all of you personally … and if you didn’t know … GOD IS GOOD … all day every day… #swipeleft #imbackandimbetter #nobaddays."
