James Kennedy was back to work this weekend following his arrest on suspicion of domestic violence.

On Saturday, Dec. 14, the Vanderpump Rules alum, 32, played a DJ gig in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Rave/Eagles Club, just four days after he was arrested at his L.A. home and booked for misdemeanor domestic violence charges, PEOPLE previously confirmed.

In an Instagram post shared by the venue, Kennedy played for a large crowd and was smiling behind the DJ booth as he performed.

"@itsjameskennedy turned up The Rave tonight! 🎉 🔥," the venue wrote in the post's caption. "Thanks to everyone who came out to party with us."

Kennedy's performance also came just hours after his girlfriend of two years, Ally Lewber, broke her silence on his arrest, writing in a post on her Instagram Stories, "Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support and for checking in on me. I'm okay and taking the time I need right now. I deeply appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time."

The DJ's attorneys told PEOPLE in a statement on Friday, Dec. 13 after news broke of his arrest that they are "in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations levied by the Burbank Police Department against James."

In their statement, they also alleged that there "were no injuries" involved in the incident. "We are hoping that, after careful review, the city’s attorneys will decide not to file formal charges," the statement continued.

Kennedy posted bail after he was "booked for misdemeanor domestic violence" and "formal charges are pending review by the Burbank City Attorney’s office," per the spokesperson.

In the arrest log from the Dec. 10 incident, the arresting officer said that the woman inside of Kennedy's home told him that "her boyfriend lifted her up and threw her to the ground."

It is not clear whether the woman in the arrest log was the DJ’s girlfriend, though, and police "will not be releasing any additional details" regarding the incident, a spokesperson for the Burbank Police Department told PEOPLE.
