Jada Pinkett Smith Mourns the Loss of Beloved Family Member in Heartbreaking Post

Jada Pinkett Smith shared the sad news that her family lost one of their beloved pets, a dog named Fang.
She posted a tribute to the furry family member on Instagram on Wednesday, Jan. 24, writing, "Last night we lost one of our furry sons Fang. He brought so much love into our family, our animal pack and community."
"Thank you Fang for 15 years of pure joy. We are going to miss you soooooo much😘," she concluded. The photos showed some of her adventures with Fang, which included hiking, playing in the snow and simply relaxing at home.
Many friends and fans shared support for the 52-year-old as she grieved the loss of Fang, with music producer DJ Jazzy Jeff writing, "😢😢😢😢 Rest well my friend."
Actor Duane Martin, who co-starred with Pinkett Smith's husband Will Smith in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, commented, "🙏🏽," and Jordyn Woods added, "😢."
Pinkett Smith's mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, also commented on her daughter's post to write, "We will miss our furry, gentle giant❣️✨🙏🏾🕊️."
The Matrix Resurrections actress often highlights her love of animals, and in the summer of 2023, she introduced the world to her newest rescue, a puppy named Lucco. Fans were in awe of the adorable light brown and white dog. She also has a French bulldog named Bandit, whom she adopted in 2020, along with several other dogs and a few cats.
As Pinkett Smith said, they had Fang for 15 years. She adopted him before her separation from Smith, although it's unclear how the estranged couple has raised the family's pets since then.
In the actress' headline-making memoir Worthy, which came out in October 2023, she revealed that she and Smith had been separated since 2016 but were still married. Since the release, Pinkett Smith stated that the couple has no plans for a divorce.
