Politician Jacqui Lambie is the latest star confirmed for the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
The 47-year-old revealed she is hoping her slot on the show will help her “connect to young voters” during a chat with The Daily Telegraph.
After spending ten years in the military, the former Tasmanian Senator told ten daily that she isn’t too worried about toughing it out in the jungle.
Meanwhile former labour senator Sam Dastyari is also heading to the jungle.
Sam, who resigned from Labor’s frontbench amidst an expenses scandal in 2016, says he’s hoping he can make his family proud during his time in South Africa.
“In a period of time my daughter, Hannah, will be old enough to read the internet and read all the bad decisions I’ve made in the past, but I hope she will see the other things out there and if that means eating a spider or lying in a snake pit then so be it,” he told The Sydney Morning Herald.
“I see this opportunity as a way with dealing with things – and nothing can be worse than what’s going on inside my head.”
Jacqui and Sam Dastyari will be joined by gossip guru Richard Reid, sporting legend Dermott Brereton and popular Gogglebox stars Angie Kent and Yvie Jones.
The news comes after claims that Hollywood star Pamela Anderson is in negotiations to star on the show, which starts on Sunday.
While former Biggest Loser host Ajay Rochester is also reportedly heading in the jungle.
