Jacob Elordi is throwing it all the way back to the 1800s with a new facial hair style that has the internet abuzz: mutton chops. Stepping out in Berlin, the actor debuted his new sideburns during the city's 75th annual International Film Festival, which doubled as a promotional opportunity for his upcoming miniseries The Narrow Road to the Deep North. Wearing a simple gray sweater with black pants, the mutton chops clearly stole the show, both on the red carpet and off.

"Jacob Elordi at Berlin with the sideburns is really working for me, I can’t lie," wrote one fan on X, formerly known as Twitter. Another fan chimed in with a fitting Emily Brontë reference: "Jacob Elordi with his Heathcliff Wuthering Heights sideburns oooooohh that should be ME! I NEED TO LOOK LIKE HIM."

Elordi, of course, is no stranger to a dramatic facial hair transformation. In November 2024, he shocked fans once again when he stepped out in Marrakech with a full beard and long, tousled hair, looking completely different from his clean cut character Nate Jacobs in Euphoria.

The actor is currently on a promotional tour for the aforementioned The Narrow Road to the Deep North, a new miniseries from Amazon Prime that tells the story of an army surgeon (played by Elordi) in a Thai-Burmese prisoner of war camp during World War II. The show is based on Richard Flanagan's novel of the same name and premieres on April 18.

“I really am just a superfan who is kind of following his heart,” Elordi said during a recent press conference for the series. “I have no real interest in making movies for the sake of entertainment, for making money. It’s to try and capture that impossible feeling that we all have when we see something that’s of substance to us.”
