Jacob Elordi Is ‘Assuming’ ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Will Take Place in the Future: ‘Otherwise, It’s Going to Seem Like a Weird Bit’
Ahead of his “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig this weekend, Jacob Elordi stopped by “The Tonight Show” to chat with Jimmy Fallon about everything from “Euphoria” Season 3 to his latest film “Saltburn.”
Asked when the HBO high school series will resume filming, Elordi cheekily asked Fallon, “I don’t know, do you know?”

“I hope it’s soon, or they’re going to have to Benjamin Button me or something,” added the 26-year-old, who plays troubled jock Nate Jacobs in the show. “I’m going to have a bad back walking down the hallway, you know?”
In November, HBO confirmed that the third season of “Euphoria” is expected to air in 2025. But with such a long gap between seasons — the second installment of the series came out in January 2022 — it’s been rumored that Season 3 will take place after a time jump.
“I’m assuming that we’ll have to go forward, otherwise it’s going to seem like a weird bit,” Elordi said.
Fallon then asked Elordi if he knew any celebrity “Euphoria” superfans, and he shared a story about Leonardo DiCaprio coming up to him in a club to compliment the show.
“We’re in this club and there’s really loud music and everything and he’s like, ‘That shot in the first season…'” Elordi said. “It’s him and I in the middle of this club just talking about camera angles.”
Of course, Fallon also brought up the viral candle inspired by the scene in “Saltburn” in which Barry Keoghan licks up Elordi’s bathwater residue. Fallon handed him one to smell, and Elordi began to mimic slurping noises like the ones heard in the scene. As for its scent, Elordi said “it smells like a washing room, like detergent.”
