Jack Black has a message for Britney Spears after covering 'Baby One More Time'

Black wants Spears to collaborate with him and Tenacious D's Kyle Gass.

High kicks. Cameos. Guitar solos. Leading man. There's not much Jack Black can't do (or, at least, there's not much he won't try). Add covering Britney Spears to the list. Last week, Jack Black and Tenacious D bandmate Kyle Gass covered "...Baby One More Time" and shared it on social media.

Now, he's letting the '00s icon know what a big fan he is. "Britney, if you're watching, I love you. I love the song," Black told Entertainment Tonight at the L.A. premiere of Kung Fu Panda 4.

"We're very proud of it, [and] I hope you like it, too," Black said, addressing Spears.

ET's Cassie DiLaura pointed out that Spears also likes posting dance videos to Instagram, and the two should collaborate. "I'm here! I'm ready when you are. I'm waiting by the phone," Black said, again addressing Spears. DiLaura observed how Black's famous high kicks could be a potential draw for Spears, which he did not need to be asked to demonstrate. "I got kicks!" Black responded. "I don't quite have Britney kicks, but you know, I got some moves."

Black was there to celebrate the newest installment of the Kung Fu Panda franchise, which marks his 16th year in the role of Po the Dragon Warrior. Kung Fu Panda was released in 2008. The movie has been followed by many films, a TV show, a video game, a music video, and short films.

"I didn't realize at the time [of getting the role] that this was gonna be a role that I'd play half my life," he said, before stopping himself. "That's being generous, though. It's not quite half my life. I'm 54. But still, a lot of my life."

Kung Fu Panda 4 arrives in theaters on March 8.
