Limited-edition 1983 heritage Barn Jacket™
It's official: 2025 is the year of the barn jacket. Largely revived the OG purveyor of prep, J.Crew, chore coats and barn jackets have become the must-have piece of outerwear for both men and women.
While other brands have released their own version of the iconic barn jacket, the resurgence in popularity is no doubt largely attributed to a re-release of the vintage-style 90's J.Crew barn jackets late last year. The most sought-after color, olive green, sold out in a record 15 minutes.

As much as we love their whole line of new barn jackets—why hello there, Harrington plaid—we have to admit we have a serious soft spot for utilitarian country apparel that feels truly weathered and worn-in. Currently, J.Crew only has two versions of their Heritage barn jackets in style, a navy with oversized pockets and a Highlands-reminiscent plaid. Both coats listed as menswear, but that's the true beauty of the barn jacket: the utilitarian look is totally unisex.
Best of muck to you all when a new restock is announced.
