As anyone who follows Gary Janetti's Instagram account knows, Prince George and Princess Charlotte are basically the best thing about the royal family. No shade intended to Princess Eugenie's collection of hats, which are also very good. And part of the reason George and Charlotte are so iconic is because while the rest of their family are sitting around doing this:

But lest you forget these kids are still royals, meaning they're expected to...wait for it...follow ~royal protocol~. Maybe not yet, but George and Charlotte are absolutely learning to mind their Ps and Qs, and turns out the process is a pretty natural one.

"Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s etiquette education likely started as soon as they could attend events with their family," royal etiquette expert Myka Meier of Beaumont Etiquette tells Cosmopolitan.com. "It would probably begin with simple training like how to shake hands and curtsy around the age of two. Initial training would likely be given by their mother, The Duchess of Cambridge."

While people love to speculate about whether Meghan Markle, for example, is taking etiquette courses, the approach with George and Charlotte is much more laid back. Per Meier, "Growing up in the Palace would mean that training is much less a course or official training, and more day-to-day observation and gentle lessons right before an event or when meeting an important guest to help prepare them."

In other words, a polite demeanor and good manners just comes with the territory, mmmkay?
