Inside a Massive $14 Million New Jersey Mansion With a Two-Story Living Green Wall
If you’ve been looking to move out of the city but don’t want to be too far from the action, this elaborate Garden State mansion listed for just shy of $14 million sits just 10 minutes from Manhattan. The ultra-modern mansion, known as Casa Verde, is listed with Bergen County’s Taylor Lucyk Group.
The Morrow Road home sits on 1.6 acres in Englewood, a five-square-mile town that features several arts and culture attractions including the Bergen Performing Arts Center and Flat Rock Brook Nature Center. Most notably, the affluent suburb has become an extremely popular spot for celebrities and high-net-worth home buyers to settle down, with everyone from Gloria Swanson to Alicia Keys snapping up multimillion-dollar homes.

The 16,000-square-foot abode was custom-built by local real estate developer Anthony Fonti and offers a ton of perks from a two-story living green wall to a 45-foot-long infinity pool to a Zen garden for meditating. Other plush amenities packed inside include a gym, a 400-bottle wine cellar, and a movie theater with stars on the ceiling like your favorite Rolls-Royce. On a more practical level, you’ll also find six bedrooms and eight-and-a-half bathrooms. While there’s certainly a lot of ground to cover, luckily there’s an elevator that whisks between the home’s three floors.
The elaborate, open-concept spread is arranged around a striking glass-enclosed lanai with a fireplace and roll-up walls so it can serve as central gathering space during all four seasons. The home has ceiling that soar to 11 and even 13 feet, wide-plank natural oak hardwood floors, and a full-home automation system. Past the oversized entry, which doubles as a reception lounge, the main level holds a chef-worthy kitchen crafted by Kuche + Cucina and equipped with state-of-the-art Gaggenau appliances, custom hardware-free cabinets, porcelain countertops, and an oversized island with a built-in snack bar big enough to seat six people. Nearby are several spaces for entertaining, including a dining room, a custom bar with seating for seven, and a family room. For more intimate gatherings, there’s a library/home office and a den.
When it’s time to turn in, there are five en suite bedrooms on the second floor, including the expansive primary suite that occupies a wing of its own with a private sitting room, double walk-in closets and a swanky bath with heated floors. While you won’t have any skyline views, the upstairs does have two terraces that overlook the nearby Ramapo mountains. Sunken gardens bring natural light into the subterranean lower level, where there’s an en suite staff or guest bedroom, a gym, a ton of storage space and vast areas for a games room, wellness suite and/or home theater.
