Julia Morris spills on new I'm A Celebrity co-host: 'Completely different'
It comes after Julia spoke with Yahoo Lifestyle about the future of the show, sharing that she's "very sad" to no longer be working with Chris, but is looking forward to whoever joins her as her co-host.
“I’m excited for the new adventure of what is in store, I don’t know who that’s going to be yet,” she told us.
“We start chemistry testing pretty soon with a number of different people - not even a number of different people, I think there’s kind of a party of six. And from there we’ll just work out where that best chemistry is and start a new adventure.”
Julia added that she has a “total dream pick” of who she wants to become her new co-host, although she won't reveal their name in case it doesn’t come to fruition.
“But whoever that person is is going to have a huge effect on whether I’m working over the next few years, so I want it to work,” she admitted.
'The greatest professional privilege'
Chris broke down in tears when he farewelled the show, calling it “the greatest professional privilege” of his life to host with Julia.
“And it's because of the stuff you don't see at home,” he detailed. “It’s because of this incredible crew that's 400 strong, it’s our blended family that we are all so close with, and it's this incredible creative force that comes together like you cannot imagine.”
The Bondi Vet star went on to thank the show’s entire team of writers, producers and creatives for trusting him as host, as well as the viewers for laughing along with the “madness”, and ensured the series will continue after his departure.
“I just want to really make mention of this incredible woman who's beside me here,” he added as he began to tear up.
“Nine years ago, when people said it was crazy to pair a vet with a comedian, we both laughed a lot at the time because we knew that we clicked and we knew that we had something special, and I don't think I ever could have imagined how special it would be and where that spark would take us and the connection we would have.
“I just wanted to say it's been an honour, it’s been a privilege, and I really hope and I'm sure this is not the last time we experience this spark. It'll take us to so many places, I’m quite sure.”

Julia also became emotional as she thanked Chris for his time on the show and shared the story of how they first met almost a decade ago.
“We found ourselves presenting an award at the Logies together, and there on stage watched by a television audience numbering in their hundreds, we clicked,” she shared. “We had chemistry, and who would’ve guessed this odd couple would work so perfectly. Plus we're in love, not a lot of people know that.
“Anyway, you know the rest of the story, my beloved doctor. We became co-hosts on this crazy celebrity show and here we are nine years later. I was meant to get through that like a joke guys, but I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart I'm heartbroken to say goodbye to my beloved doctor.”
