- Jerry, it is so lovely to meet you. Miranda, it's great to see you again. Last time we spoke for season one, you were trending because of the "Drake & Josh" meme. This time you're trending because of your favorite cuss word. How does it feel being the queen of the internet, on both TV and in real life? MIRANDA COSGROVE: I was saying to Jerry, I am consistently humbled by the internet. [LAUGHS] Yeah, the internet wins again. BOTH: [LAUGHING] JERRY TRAINOR: Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Miranda is the queen of the internet? I don't know. MIRANDA COSGROVE: I liked that. - She's everywhere. JERRY TRAINOR: I don't know. - I think you need to come up with your own viral TikTok sound now to just compete with her. JERRY TRAINOR: I should. I should. I don't like this monarchy. MIRANDA COSGROVE: Do you cuss a little? JERRY TRAINOR: Are you asking me? MIRANDA COSGROVE: Yeah. JERRY TRAINOR: You know-- you know the answer to that. [LAUGHS] - He would work himself up and flail around like a bird with another bird up its ass. [PANICKED SCREECHING] - Well, congrats to you both on season two. I feel like your lives are coming full circle in a way, with "iCarly" being such a huge success. Miranda, you're hosting this year's Kids' Choice Awards. Is there a weird sense of deja vu with life right now, or is it a comforting nostalgia? MIRANDA COSGROVE: It is a little weird at times. Like, even the first season when we saw the sets for the first time, that was such a weird-- it was emotional, but it was also so strange. It's a little like "The Twilight Zone." Like, seeing them all again but being in a different studio. And then all just being older. But, yeah, I mean, there have been so many, like, great moments and great things about getting to do this again and getting to play a character again that I never thought that I would play as an adult. Yeah, it's just-- it's been really fun. JERRY TRAINOR: I would say it's column A, column B. I mean, it is-- there is a comforting nostalgia, as well as the deja vu of being like, wow, this is-- I never thought we'd be back doing this, but it's kind of fun. And it's-- and the reaction that we're getting from the fans is largely positive. And people are super, like-- seem almost, like, appreciative that there's something lighthearted and whimsical out there that they can just kind of watch and escape for a little bit, you know? - Miranda, I'm a big fan of your music career, and I feel like music was a big part of the original series. "Stay My Baby," "Shakespeare," "Leave It All To Me," of course. I know you decided not to rerecord the original theme song, but are there any plans on releasing new music for yourself or for the show? MIRANDA COSGROVE: I don't have any plans right now. I thought that it was really, you know, fun getting to be a part of, like, some of the decisions for the first season of the show with the theme song. Like, even for me, when I hear that song-- I recorded it when I was 13, so it's, like, super nostalgic for me. And, yeah, I'm just happy that we ended up going with the original in the end. Because we did go around so many times about redoing it. But I think a lot of people, you know, they think of their childhoods or, like, coming home from school and putting the show on when they hear that song. So I'm glad it made the cut. JERRY TRAINOR: It's weird when we go to karaoke, she only picks songs that she actually recorded. Sings her own songs at karaoke. It's just not fair. - "Kissin U" is your go-to karaoke song. JERRY TRAINOR: Yeah. I like "High Maintenance." That's my favorite one. The one she did with Rivers Cuomo.
