Hulk Hogan opens up about sex tape with best friend's wife

Hulk Hogan hasn't felt like himself since his sex tape was posted online.

The professional wrestler, who is currently testifying in court as he fights for $100 million damages after website Gawker posted a clip of him having sex with Heather Clem, admits he has not "been able to get back up to who" he was before it was released.

He said, "I just haven’t felt like myself ... this is still tearing me up. I haven’t been able to get back up to who I was before [the tape] ... I’m not the same person I was since all this craziness happened."

The 62-year-old wrestler - real name Terry Bollea - also hit back at rumours he had leaked the tape himself, insisting he was offered money by Vivid Entertainment, a pornographic film production company, for the video but refused.

He added, "It wasn’t about Hulk Hogan making a sex tape. That’s not what happened. It’s never been about that ... We had calls from Vivid Entertainment ... and they said, ‘There’s an open checkbook, we’ll pay you anything you want ... It lives forever [now]. It will be there forever on the Internet."

What's more, Hogan said his friend, radio personality Bubba “the Love Sponge” Clem encouraged hum to have sex with his wife, after repeatedly telling him that his wife Heather wanted to get physical with him and revealing they had an open marriage.

Hogan testified that when he and Heather eventually did have sex, her husband handed Hogan a condom. Hogan said he felt something was wrong, and he asked if they were being taped, but said Bubba denied it.

“It was so weird and so crazy, my gut was telling me that this was off, this was wrong,” Hogan revealed. “From the feeling that I had, I said, ‘Bubba you’re not filming this are you?’ ... he lashed into me.”

Gawker released a statement blasting the professional wrestler for the suit, which could bankrupt the company should he win.

“Three-and-a-half years ago, Gawker showed nine seconds of Hulk Hogan having sex with the wife of his best friend, Bubba the Love Sponge — who actually made the 30-minute tape and appears in it himself,” the statement read.

“Hulk Hogan was more than willing to talk about his sex life — including in two autobiographies, a reality TV series and Howard Stern’s radio show — until he didn’t like what Gawker had to say. Now he wants $100 million as compensation. Compare that with the $5000 settlement that Bubba paid Hulk for the actual taping.”
