A medical centre in the US looks like it’s going to be short staffed for a few months, with nine of it’s nurses expecting babies mid-way through this year.

Maine Medical Centre probably didn’t expect to go viral when they shared this image of the nurses who are expecting over the next few months, but social media can’t get enough of the jaw-dropping image.

In the post published to their Facebook page, the centre seems nothing but overjoyed at the new arrivals, even if it means some short-term departures.

“How’s this for a baby boom? Nine of our nurses (8 of whom are in this photo) are expecting babies between April and July!” the caption reads. “Congratulations!”

The centre shared an image of the nurses lined up in a row showing off their bellies in front of the Labor and Delivery suite, where no doubt many of them will be patients in the coming months.

Each nurse holds a card with their due date proudly displayed, and if the smiles stretching across their faces are anything to go off, they can’t wait to meet their bundles of joy.

The post has 1.1k likes and has been shared over 200 times, but some users can’t help but wonder how the medical centre will cope.

“I’m curious if there will be any L&D nursing staff at MMC when I deliver…” one concerned patient wrote.

They were quickly reassured by the centre however, who replied: “Don’t worry! We have a plan.”

Others wondered if something in the water might be behind the crazy timing, but the overwhelming responses were of support and excitement.

“Congrats ladies! How exciting,” one user wrote.

“Congratulations, this is wonderful!!” wrote another.
