ADAM ROWLAND: Yeah. So I got an audition come through in about December I sent through a tape. They wanted me to audition with the character of Aiden, a really fun, beautiful scene. So I got one of my good friends over, and we did the tape and we had a lot of fun with it.
They really liked the tape. About three weeks later, they gave me a call and flew me up to Sydney. I was quite nervous coming into the studio here in Sydney, but I felt right at home as soon as we got in there.
Everyone I auditioned with were fantastic. And we could have all played the band together, really. And yeah, we did the tape. I flew home. I wasn't sure how I felt about it, and then got a call two days later saying, you're in the band. You're in Lyric.
It's a phenomenal opportunity that I've been given. I'm so grateful for it. Right now, I certainly want to focus on doing my best and becoming a better actor. And what better place to do that?
I've only been recognized once so far, and that was by the barista at my coffee shop. [LAUGHS]
Said, [INAUDIBLE] And I was like, yeah-- She'd say in one of the promos. So yeah, we'll see what happens down the line. Yeah, so my first day was-- I was incredibly relaxed.
Everyone was a little nervous and stressed and that, but I just remember getting out to Palm Beach there and going through the makeup and the wardrobe and just being incredibly excited. Our first day on set was the day we performed outside the Paratha House. And they threw me my guitar, and they said stand here and go for it. I felt at home with my guitar. [LAUGHS]
