Tennis fans have slammed a ‘cringe’ moment ahead of the Australian Open men’s final last night, calling the unveiling of the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup from a massive Louis Vuitton trophy trunk ‘out of touch during a cost of living crisis’.
Hollywood superstar Ana de Armas joined tennis legend and Australian Open commentator Jim Courier on the court ahead of the clash between Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev on Sunday night, where the trophy was dramatically unveiled by the pair at Rod Laver Arena.
Louis Vuitton ambassador and Blonde actress Ana looked stunning in a long-sleeved Louis Vuitton blouse and boucle skirt as she posed for photos alongside the prestigious cup.

However, tennis fans were left scratching their heads over the scene, with many calling the moment ‘cringeworthy’ and others begging the organisers not to turn the game into a fashion show.
“Are we at AO or Fashion week. Totally absurd show. Please stop it!” one person wrote on Instagram.
“What a load a BS🤦♀️ Just present the trophy as is!!” another person wrote.
Others called the trophy unveiling ‘embarrassing’ and ‘cringeworthy’, with one person saying it was ‘a bit out of touch during a cost of living crisis but ok…’

Cinching his first-ever grand slam title at Rod Laver Area in Melbourne, the 22-year-old fell to the floor after a nail-biting four–hour clash which had tennis fans on the edge of their seats.
