Hoda Kotb says this $17 coffee on Amazon keeps her going from 3 a.m. to bedtime

The soon-to-be former 'Today' co-anchor says this medium roast coffee will 'knock your socks off.'

Hoda Kotb has been a fixture of our morning routines for 17 years now as a co-host of Today, so now that her anchoring tenure is coming to an end (that would be tomorrow, Jan. 10), fans of the TV icon are feeling all the feels. But don't despair: Though she's stepping away from the desk, she won't be stepping out of our lives — she'll be walking a new path with the start of her new wellness company.

Speaking of wellness (kinda): When Hoda shares a product that helps keep her up and alert, especially for those early rises to hit the anchor desk, we stop and listen. Her secret weapon: Death Wish Coffee. According to Today, she says it works so well that it will "knock your socks off."

While the medium roast is her favorite, you can choose from 11 flavors and roasts ranging from the standard light, medium and dark to more complex concoctions like Pumpkin Chai and Peppermint.

Both Kotb and the brand boast that this is the "world's strongest coffee" ... and they're talking about the medium roast! She says it keeps her going from her 3:00 a.m. wake-up until she turns in for the night. And, she says, all that flavor comes sans bitterness — how's that for the best of both worlds?

Currently available on Amazon, Death Wish Coffee's Medium Roast has just one ingredient: USDA-certified organic coffee beans, so you won't find any unpronounceable additives. The small brand prides itself on having sustainably sourced beans with no artificial ingredients that deliver a smooth and bold taste. As for the flavor, the folks at Death Wish describe it as "boldly balanced" with hints of stone fruit and caramel.

And oh yeah: Customers say it's perfect for both drip-pot and pour-over coffees.

Speaking of devoted customers, Hoda isn't the only one who's a big fan. This roast has more than 2,000 five-star reviews on Amazon, with several backing up her claim that it's seriously powerful but delicious.

"We've been addicted to Death Wish coffee since Christmas," said this java junkie. "It's totally replaced my Dunkin' every morning, [and I] love the money I'm saving. Every type is so good, too, especially the flavored seasonal ones!"

Another fan said the claims about its boldness are no joke: "When they say this coffee is strong, they mean it!! I am a caffeine freak, and it usually takes a lot to get me going. This stuff is amazing!' They added, "The price [on Amazon] is cheaper than at my grocery store, which is a plus."

One shopper had a minor critique about the brand's hefty claim about its boldness: "I was expecting it to taste like motor oil, but it's actually very tasty," said this dark-roast partisan. "It has a very robust flavor that's easily regulated with a little bit of sugar."

Conversely, this coffee connoisseur opted to take things down a notch."[My husband and I] used to have the dark roast, but it was very bitter and left a fairly bad taste in my mouth sometimes," they reported. "This medium roast is a far superior coffee to the dark roast, in my opinion. It is very smooth and strong."

If you're a chocolate lover, this blend with hints of fudge and hazelnut has just the right edge of sweetness you need for your morning pick-me-up.
