Have you been looking at this flower all wrong?

A hilarious meme has gone viral, highlighting the fact that practically everyone has been looking at the Bird of Paradise flower the wrong way around.

While many of us know that the flower gained its name for resembling features of a brightly coloured Bird of Paradise, what we didn’t realise is that most of us have been picturing a very different looking bird to what it’s meant to be.

Instead of a bird’s beak and head, it’s actually meant to resemble a bird in flight – mind blown!

The meme, posted to Facebook, has since been shared over 20,000 times with people finding the comparison hysterical.

Clearly, we can all relate as we’ve been picturing the flower as the bird on the right the whole time even if it is completely wacky.

“Hahhahaha my whole life is a lie,” one user commented.

“The one on the right I feel is waayy more accurate,” another said.

While others refused to accept this new perspective saying: “I’m still going with the right bird”.

And we don’t blame them, for the bird on the right is definitely more fun to look at.
