Here's how much Arnold Palmer's former California home is selling for

Known as the club that Arnold Palmer built, Tradition Golf Club near Palm Springs, California, is now a quarter-century old, although a recently finished renovation project has given the club a vibe as if it's brand new.

Palmer designed the 18-hole golf course on the property and was the most prominent resident of the club at the south end of Washington Drive in the town of La Quinta, which hosts the PGA Tour's American Express. Even years after his death, Palmer’s influence at Tradition remains large.

Now, the home in which Palmer lived on the picturesque site is for sale, a stunning property on the second hole of the course he built with sweeping views of the neighboring mountains. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom property is on the market for $5 million.

As you enter through the grand wooden door, the open-concept living space seamlessly blends with the stunning views beyond the custom sliders, where sweeping mountain vistas and lush golf course views unfold to the south. Exquisitely appointed, the great room features impressive 16-foot wood beam ceilings, Arto Saltillo heated pavers, and an inviting fireplace, all offered designer-furnished per inventory.

The primary suite, formerly Mr. Palmer’s personal office with a charming fireplace alcove, exudes timeless character. The fully remodeled primary bathroom, designed with custom built-in cabinets, Axor fixtures and limestone countertops, maximizes functionality and offers a custom-made walk-in closet.

The guest quarters feature two en-suite bedrooms, each opening onto a private patio. Conveniently positioned on the opposite side of the main living area, these guest accommodations are gracefully separated from the primary suite and its adjoining bedroom, ensuring an enhanced sense of privacy. The kitchen has been modernized with DeWils shaker cabinetry, Cesar stone countertops and Fisher & Paykel appliances. The rear patio was graciously expanded with the seamless transformation of extending the Saltillo tiles. This home resonates with the spirit of Mr. Palmer, who treasured Rancho Relaxo as his West Coast retreat.
