Everything You Need To Know About Netflix's "The Night Agent" Before Watching The Season 2
Before you scroll any further, I am BEGGING you to stop and turn on Season 1 of The Night Agent on Netflix if you haven't seen it already. Why? Because it's an exciting, well-done thriller and I don't want any Season 2 spoilers below to ruin your experience!
Now, for everyone else who watched Season 1 and has been anxiously waiting for Season 2, here's a breakdown of what to know before watching the new season:
Where did Season 1 leave off?
In Season 1, we met Peter Sutherland, a low-level FBI agent working in the basement of the White House answering the "Night Action" phone, aka the line secret agents call when they're in trouble and need assistance.
We then watched Peter, along with civilian (and sometimes love interest) Rose Larkin, figure out who the mole in the White House was, just in time for him to save President Travers from a plot to kill her.

In the final scenes of the season, Peter is rewarded by the president with a position as an actual Night Agent.
What is Season 2 about?
The newest season kicks off nine months after the Season 1 finale in Thailand as Peter is squarely in the middle of his first Night Action mission. Of course, things immediately go awry and Peter and Rose once again find themselves in the middle of a conspiracy. According to Netflix, "working in the secretive organization Night Action in Season 2 will push Peter into a world where danger is everywhere and trust is in short supply."
Which main characters are returning?
Peter Sutherland:
Now officially a Night Agent, Peter has a whole new world of espionage to learn. And, as soon as a counterintelligence mission to retrieve a thumb drive containing CIA secrets goes south, Peter is once again in hiding while he works on tracking down the intel he needs to clear his name.
Peter is played by Gabriel Basso, who you might recognize from The Big C or Juror #2.
Rose Larkin:
Rose, a young tech entrepreneur, is back in California, but instead of starting her own company, she's found herself taking a back seat as a programmer for a new up-and-coming company. However, things quickly take a turn when she gets a mysterious call asking her if she knows where Peter is.
Rose is played by New Zealand actor Luciane Buchanan, who you may recognize from The New Legends of Monkey.

With almost 14 new characters (from lead to supporting), here's a look at a few of the bigger characters we're getting this season:

Noor:
Noor is an aide in the Iranian mission to the United Nations in New York. However, things get incredibly difficult for her when she tries to leverage secret information for the safety of her mother and brother in Iran.
