Harley Quinn and Ivy Take on Metropolis, Brainiac in Season 5 Trailer — Plus, Get Premiere Date

The “most titillating couple ever” is bailing on grody Gotham and making tracks for Metropolis, in a new trailer for Harley Quinn Season 5.

It was also announced that Season 5 will debut Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, though no release pattern was shared.

The Big Bang Theory alum Kaley Cuoco voices the titular DC Comics character, with other cast members including Lake Bell (as Poison Ivy), Alan Tudyk, Christopher Meloni, Ron Funches, J.B. Smoove and Tony Hale.

The adult animated DC comedy’s Season 4 finale back in September 2023 said good-bye to one team of heroes (the Bat-fam) and hello to a new formation of fierce femme (no, not the “Birds of Prey,” Barbara you weirdo; the Gotham City Sirens).

Yet there is no indication in the new trailer that the Sirens will wail for long.

When I chatted up showrunner Dean Lorey (who, yes, also runs Kite Man: Hell Yeah! and the new CBS sitcom Poppa’s House) over the summer, he said that for Harley Quinn Season 5, “I wanted to get the old gang back together and get a little back to basics. So it’s a different season, it’s a bit more focused, and it has a lot of new stuff but with the same group.”

Meaning, that while “we resolve the things that we needed to from Season 4” — including that Nightwing cliffhanger — “it is a very new season.”
