Happy National Daughters Day! Celebrate with Matt Damon, The Jonas Brothers, Bruce Willis and Other Celeb Girl Dads

They're not regular dads, they're cool dads — to all girls

It's National Daughters Day!

We love a mother-daughter power duo, and we're also huge fans of dads who revel in their role as fathers to girls.

From Matt Damon, who's said having daughters gave him a place to be after work, to Kobe Bryant who famously reveled in being a girl dad, to all three Jonas brothers who happen to be fathers to little girls, these celebrity girl dads' love for their daughters will melt your heart.

In honor of National Daughters Day on Sept. 25, see some of the celebrity fathers who have all daughters.

Ludacris

The rapper is dad to daughters Karma, 23, and Cai, 10, from previous relationships, as well as daughters Cadence, 9, and Cai, 3, whom he shares with wife Eudoxie Mbouguiengue.

He has told PEOPLE he wants to guide them through "understanding their intelligence, their beauty, and their purpose here in the world and that each one of those may be different ... and that they come from a strong lineage of women and heritage." (And he works to keep them on their toes so they can't roast his outfits — a rite of passage for any girl dad.)

Matt Damon

Matt Damon is dad to wife Luciana's daughter from a previous relationship, Alexia Barroso, 25, as well as Isabella, 18, Gia Zavala, 16, Stella Zavala, 13.

His best advice for raising girls? "Oh, man. I don't know. I wouldn't deign to give anybody advice other than I just try to listen and be helpful," Damon has said. "I mean, ultimately, it's about building self-esteem."

Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis is dad to Evelyn Penn, 10, Mabel Ray, 12, whom he shares with wife Emma Heming Willis, as well as Tallulah, 30, Scout, 33, and Rumer, 36 whom he welcomed in his previous marriage to Demi Moore. His entire girl gang has rallied around him after his dementia diagnosis.

And despite his reputation as a macho man, Willis loved being the patriarch of his many daughters. "Bruce's response when asked if he'd like to have a son?… 'I'd have 5 more girls right now,' " Heming shared on Instagram in June 2021.

Thomas Rhett

Thomas Rhett is dad to Lillie Carolina, 2, Lennon Love, 4, Ada James, 7, and Willa Gray, 8, whom he shares with wife Lauren Akins. "I'm so used to embracing this 'girl dad' life that I don't really know what I would do with a boy, to be honest with you!" he has joked.

Kobe Bryant

The late Kobe Bryant and wife Vanessa welcomed daughters Capri Kobe, 5, Bianka Bella, 7, and Natalia Diamante, 21, as well as Gianna Maria-Onore, who died with her father in the helicopter crash that took their lives and seven others. She was 13.

Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson shares daughters Tiana Gia, 6, Jasmine Lia, 8, with wife Lauren Hashian. The action star also has an older daughter, Simone, 23 from a previous relationship and is often caught getting a makeover from one of the little ones.

Dax Shepard

Dax Shepard is dad to his and Kristen Bell's daughters Delta, 9, and Lincoln, 11. The Without a Paddle actor who often raves about fatherhood recently told the audience at a SXSW panel, "nothing compares to being a dad. It is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me."

"When I have failures in life, I get to come home and still be dad," he continued. "It is the most transformative experience. You can feel it's why you are here."

Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon is dad to Frances Cole, 9, and Winnie Rose, 11. (And just look at how cute they are together!) He shares the two girls with wife Nancy Juvonen.

Chance the Rapper

Chance the Rapper is dad to Marli, 5, and Kensli, 9, about whom he said, "I wanna have the type of relationship where I'm a trusted figure beyond a dad. I wanna be a good friend and a good example."

In April this year, the Chicago native announced he and his wife, Kirsten Corley decided to go their separate ways after five years together.

Adam Sandler

Adam and Jackie Sandler are parents to daughters Sunny Madeline, 15, and Sadie Madison, 18. He recently said. his teen daughters encourage him to eat healthier and exercise more, in order to stay healthy for the long term.

Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx is dad to Annalise, 15, whom he shares with ex Kristin Grannis as well as newlywed Corinne, 30, whom he recently walked down the aisle. Corinne's mother is Connie Kline.

Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling is dad to Amada Lee, 8, and Esmeralda Amada, 10, whom he shares with actress Eva Mendes. He described fatherhood as "heaven," also telling PEOPLE, “It sounds so clichéd, but I never knew that life could be this fun and this great.”

Harry Connick Jr.

Harry Connick Jr. and his wife Jill Goodacre share daughters Charlotte, 22, Sarah Kate, 27, and Georgia, 28. “We love being together,” Harry told PEOPLE in 2019. “I loved them when they were infants and toddlers and preschoolers all the way up through now. It just keeps getting better.”

Dave Grohl

Dave Grohl is dad to Ophelia Saint, 10, Harper Willow, 15, and Violet Maye, 18 whom he shares with wife Jordyn Blum. In September 2024, the Foo Fighters lead revealed he welcomed another daughter outside of his marriage. Her identity remains under wraps.

Jerry O'Connell

Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn welcomed their twin girls Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, 16 back in 2008. He jokingly wore a "security" shirt to the girls' Sweet 16 party, saying he was going to "walk around the party and make sure there's no close dancing."

Tim McGraw

Tim McGraw is dad to Audrey, 18, Maggie, 21, and Gracie, 23. He has called his girls "the life of the party" and reflected on raising them with wife Faith Hill, "We've raised three strong, independent, strong-minded young women. And what I'm most grateful for is just how normal our kids are and how grounded they are and how much they respect themselves and other people. It makes me feel like we've done a pretty decent job, especially Mom."

Kevin Jonas

Kevin Jonas is dad to Valentina Angelina, 7, and Alena Rose, 10, who "rule the backstage" when he's on tour. He shares his two girls with his wife Danielle.

Joe Jonas

The second Jonas brother shares daughters Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2, with ex-wife Sophie Turner, and has shared his joy about his "beautiful family."

Nick Jonas

Nick Jonas is dad to two-year-old Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, "the light of my world," whom he shares with wife Priyanka Chopra.

Kenan Thompson

Kenan Thompson is dad to Gianna Michelle, 5, and Georgia Marie, 11 whom he shares with ex-wife Christina Evangeline. "They both think they're hilarious," Thompson told PEOPLE of his girls. "They both think they're way more funnier than I am and they kind of are."

Keith Urban

Keith Urban is dad to Faith Margaret, 13, and Sunday Rose, 16, with wife Nicole Kidman.

"We're definitely female-heavy! But as the girls say, 'The dog's a boy!' " Kidman has joked, pointing out that Urban and Faith share hobbies that keep them close.

"Oh, and he Googles cars — I'll know when he's stressed 'cause he's Googling cars," she said. "I couldn't care less what car I'm driving; you can pick me up in any old thing. But Keith and Faith love cars."

Jake Owen

Jake Owen is dad to Paris Hartley, 5, whom he shares with Erica Hartlein and Olive Pearl, 11 whom he shares with ex Lacy Buchanan. “I look at my little girl and I wonder what she’s going to be and what she’s going to do and what is it that leads girls certain directions in life,” Owen told PEOPLE after Olive's birth. “I think a lot of that goes back to what kind of father they had, and so it makes me want to be the best dad I can possibly be.”

Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson and his wife Denise share three daughters: Dani, 26, Ali, 30, and Mattie, 34. "They're good kids, and they're smart, and they make good choices. My girls are very sweet; I'm very proud of all of them," Alan told The Boot in 2009.

Garth Brooks

Garth Brooks is dad to Allie, 27, August, 29, and Taylor, 31, with his ex-wife Sandy Mahl. (Allie is pictured here with Brooks' wife Trisha Yearwood.) Brooks famously stepped back from music in the late '90s to help raise his daughters, saying, "People said, ‘How could you walk away from music?’ But being a dad — there’s nothing that can touch that.”

Zayn Malik

Malik welcomed daughter Khai with then-girlfriend Gigi Hadid in Sept. 2020. "Beyond proud to call you my daughter.. grateful for every second I get to spend next to you, as you become the incredible person I know you already are," he wrote on her 4th birthday.
