Hanes Releases Its Urban Outfitters-exclusive Capsule Collection

Drawing inspiration from Hanes’ 125-year legacy, the basics apparel company has released a limited-edition collaboration exclusively with Urban Outfitters.

The collaboration is a capsule collection that features 28 pieces of both innerwear and apparel for both men and women, bringing a modern twist to the nostalgia of Hanes’ classic basics that the brand is known for. Boxer shorts, sports bras, bodysuits, ribbed tanks, cropped sweatshirts, crew socks, T-shirts and more featuring Hanes logos throughout to give the collection a vintage Americana aesthetic.

Hanes said that quality and comfort continue to be the utmost priority — soft cotton and select pieces featuring tagless clothing, which “have led to Hanes being present in nine out of 10 American homes.” The collaboration is also tapping into consumers’ looking for classic and effortless basics while staying true to the Hanes and Urban Outfitters brand DNA.

“At Urban Outfitters, we are committed to offering our customers an assortment that both meets their needs but also creates a sense of discovery,” said Marybeth Cahill, chief merchandising officer at Urban Outfitters. “We think the Hanes Heritage x Urban Outfitters collection blends nostalgia with modern versatility — and we are excited for our customers to check it out.”

“Our collaboration with Urban Outfitters gives Hanes a new platform to showcase our brand as one of America’s most iconic labels,” said Jane Newman, chief design officer of HanesBrands. “Few brands have the longevity and legacy that Hanes has and we had a ton of fun diving into our history together with Urban Outfitters to design this collection. It offers a youthful, vintage twist on the Hanes staples that have made us the beloved brand that we are today.”

The Hanes Heritage x Urban Outfitters collection is exclusively available on Urban Outfitters’ website and in select retail locations across the U.S., with styles ranging from $10 to $45.
