Hamish Blake and Zoë Foster Blake get real about sex after kids

If there’s one couple you can trust to tell things exactly how they are, it’s loveable husband and wife, Hamish Blake and Zoë Foster Blake.

Comedian Hamish and his beauty entrepreneur wife, Zoë, appeared on 60 Minutes last night to talk all things love, careers and doing the deed after kids.

During the chat with Allison Langdon, the pair admitted that it’s not as easy to have ‘sexy time’ now that they have four-year-old Sonny and one-year-old Rudy in the house.

“When you’ve got kids and you’re sleep-deprived, you’re falling back on your friendship far more than you’re falling back on…,” Hamish said, with Zoë adding “Sexy time”.

“At three in the morning when the kids are crying, I’m like, ‘I think I know what we need here’. Put some leather pants on and a satin shirt, and came back. It didn’t work,” Hamish laughed.

Hamish and Zoë met in 2004 at a men’s deodorant launch, with the former beauty editor admitting that initially she saw him as a really good friend.

However, it was love at first sight for Hamish, who previously gushed about their first encounter.

“I had never met anyone like her – confident, hilarious, obviously beautiful and very full of fun and life. I’ve come to know it as the Zoë magic,” Hamish told Good Weekend magazine in 2016.

Although, Zoë told 60 Minutes she now uses their relationship as an example for some of her single mates.

“Hamish is a fantastic partner, and I often say when girls are chronically single, I’m like, ‘Do you have any like, male friends that you’ve never thought about romantically?’ Because I do recommend falling in love with your really good friend.”

The pair were married in 2012 at Wolgan Valley in the Blue Mountains, with just 22 guests in attendance.
