Yahoo Lifestyle Hallmark Fans Have a Lot to Say about 'Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story'
The much-anticipated premiere of Hallmark’s Holiday Touchdown: A Chief’s Love Story occurred on Saturday, November 30, and fans are still swooning over the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce-inspired love story.
Like their real-life love story, Holiday Touchdown follows a story of fate, albeit a little more realistic than that of the world’s biggest pop star and the best tight end in the game. In the movie, Chiefs superfan Alana (Hunter King) enters to win the Chiefs Fan of the Year Award. Up against other dedicated fans, Alana has to be evaluated by Derrick Taylor (Tyler Hynes), the Chiefs' Director of Fan Engagement, to determine if she’s truly the biggest fan of them all. And, as fate—and just about every Hallmark movie—would have it, the more time they spend together, the more they fall in love. (Psst: Did you catch that TS Easter egg? Hallmark knows what’s up!)
What’s especially interesting about Holiday Touchdown is that it’s made in partnership with the NFL and features head coach Andy Reid, guard Trey Smith, and even Donna Kelce herself! (TODAY’s Jenna Bush also has an appearance.) Needless to say, A Chiefs Love Story is being lauded as a one-of-a-kind Hallmark movie that’s brought together romance and football fans alike.
“Tyler Hynes...scoring touchdowns in hearts everywhere,” one fan commented on Instagram. “I definitely need to watch this thing. I’m a Chiefs fan… how could I not?!? I saw Trey, Donna, and Andy in this preview… that’s all I need to see to know I need more,” another fan exclaimed. “The Venn diagram of viewers for this is amazing,” someone else remarked. “Trey Smith, did I just see a cameo??? Heck yeah best tackle in the league,” another fan commented.
