Gypsy-Rose BlanchardGypsy-Rose Blanchard is enjoying life as a new mom.
While speaking exclusively with PEOPLE ahead of the release of the second season of her reality TV show, Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, Blanchard, 33, shares the one concern she has as a first-time parent. Blanchard welcomed her daughter Aurora in December 2024 with partner Ken Urker, announcing the news on Instagram.
"Honestly, just kind of taking her out in public a lot," she tells PEOPLE. "We've had two or three outings so far. It's been cold lately, so we have been staying a lot indoors, but with her being so little, I'm nervous just around people."
"It's Mardi Gras season," she continues. "There's just a lot of people, like the city is packed, so we're still trying to be cautious of where to take her [and] when to take her."

"I kind of feel a little bit more relieved that we had a girl because I don't know what to do with a little boy," she admits to PEOPLE. "I'm a girly girl myself, so all the pink and ruffles and stuff like that, that's my area of expertise."
"I think despite my relationship with my mom, I think there is something special about a mother and daughter's relationship that I am so blessed to be able to live through with her because I didn't have that with my own mom," Blanchard adds. "It's nice that I can just step into that role of a mother and see how it's supposed to be."

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard and Ken UrkerBlanchard had a clear plan in place for her birthing experience, but baby daughter Aurora had plans of her own.
“As a first-time mom, my birth story was amazing,” she tells PEOPLE exclusively. When asked about the one thing that took her by surprise, she simply added that her baby girl “was a little early.”
“I had started dilating at 34 weeks and five days, so my OBGYN was keeping a close monitor on me, so we were having visits every week,” Blanchard explains. “So when I went in for, I want to say it was my 35th week, the expectation was that we were going to do an induction day, which would've been January 16th.”
Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up season 2 Premieres March 10th at 9/8c on Lifetime.
