Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Denies 'Rumor' That CPS Visited Her, Says Daughter Aurora Is 'Very Safe and Healthy'
The Munchausen by proxy survivor dismissed the claim as "false" in a recent post
Contrary to rumors she has seen circulating online, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard's baby daughter is "safe and healthy," she says.
On Friday, Jan. 24, the Munchausen by proxy survivor, 33, shared a list of statements to her Instagram Stories in which she addressed “false rumors of the week” — the claims about herself, boyfriend Ken Urker and their daughter Aurora Raina that she has seen circulating online of late.
At the top of the list was a rumor regarding her daughter, whom she and Urker welcomed on Dec. 28, 2024. According to Blanchard, people have alleged that Child Protective Services (CPS) visited her Louisiana home out of concern for the almost-1-month-old — a claim which she said is false.

"NO, CPS is not involved!” the new mom wrote, adding, “our baby is very safe and healthy” along with an eye-roll emoji.
The Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Saturday, Jan. 25.
In the same list, Blanchard also denied that she and Urker used a “doll or fake baby” in the picture she shared following Aurora’s birth, and rejected the rumor that she used weight loss medication, which she later elaborated on in a statement shared exclusively with PEOPLE.
“NO, I am not on any weight loss medication,” she wrote in the Instagram Stories post in part, noting that she “just [looks] damn good for postpartum.”

“I’m addressing all the rumors that content creators spread,” she later told PEOPLE. “It’s not necessarily to anyone in particular, it’s just some of the crazy rumors that have come out over the last few weeks that I wanted to address are not true.”
Added Blanchard: “I never have used weight loss drugs to lose weight. I was blessed with a healthy pregnancy and gained very little during my pregnancy.”
In her original list of “false rumors,” the Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star also added a final disclaimer to her post slamming those who buy into rumors like those she addressed.
“IF ANYONE ACTUALLY BELIEVES THIS BS THEN YOUR BRAIN HAS BEEN ROTTED BY MISINFORMATION AND CLICK BAIT WITH BIAS And HATE DRIVEN CONTENT,” she concluded, adding, "God gave you [brain] USE IT.”

Blanchard welcomed her little girl just in time for the new year, and has since posted some small updates — including sharing that she’s “leaning into motherhood in 2025” — but no photos or videos of the baby.
She explained her decision, which aligns with her choice to live a more private life following her December 2023 prison release, in an Instagram Stories post earlier this month. (Blanchard spent eight years in prison for her role in the 2015 murder of her mother Dee Dee, who subjected her daughter to years of painful medical procedures she never needed.)
“To everyone asking, No, I will not be posting pictures of Aurora," she wrote at the time. "I understand everyone's excitement and we appreciate the support, but we value the privacy and safety of our daughter."
"We continue to express love towards our supporters,” she added, “and thank you for following our journey ❤️.”
