Gwyneth Paltrow, 48, goes topless for new Goop collection: 'Absolutely gorgeous'

Gwyneth Paltrow is stripping down to show off a new accessories line from Goop.

The 48-year-old posed topless for a photo posted to the brand's Instagram page to promote G. Label Jewelry — a collection of "baseline pieces" and a first for the lifestyle company. Alongside the photo of Paltrow dressed in just pants and a few of the jewels, the caption read, "these fine gems are the kind you never really have to take off." Naturally, people commented not only on how "beautiful" the pieces are, but also how "powerful" Paltrow looks in them.

"A jewel dresses more than clothes and Gwyneth knows it," one person commented. "What a beautiful and fun woman."

"Absolutely gorgeous collection," another wrote. "GP looks spectacular too!!"

Paltrow went into more detail on the creation of the collection on the Goop website, sharing that a love for jewelry is something that she shares with her 17-year-old daughter Apple Martin. "Every year on Apple's birthday, we get a new piercing — it's this little tradition we have," she wrote. "She was a big inspiration for this collection and helped me refine the designs. I named the pieces after her and her best friends."

Despite the relatable story and names behind the pieces, many people were quick to critique Paltrow for the prices, which range from $650 for a single ear cuff to $2,500 for a gold link necklace.

"I am a little upset at Goop. I thought Goop was a brand that is for all to experience life to its fullest," someone commented. "Selling a 2,500 necklace makes no sense to me. What about selling sustainable or unique jewelry at a cost that the middle/lower class can afford?"

Another responded, "Love your jewelry, but can’t afford it."
