Guy Fieri Teases Son Ryder’s ‘Commitment to Excellence’ During First Semester Away at College
While the Raiders lost when they played the Panthers in Las Vegas over the weekend, their fans certainly weren't lacking in enthusiasm—particularly in the case of Guy Fieri.
On Sunday, Sept. 22, the celebrity chef took to Instagram to share pics and video from the game, including an appearance from his youngest son, Ryder, 18.
"Home opener in Vegas, Ryder flew in from San Diego," the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives star said in the clip, which showed the father and son standing on the side of the field before the game.
"Commitment to excellence, you know what?" he joked about the teen's travels. "Just win, baby! Let's do this!"

Ryder echoed his father's sentiments in the comments.
"Raiderssss☠️," he wrote.
Ryder is currently in his freshman year at San Diego State University. Last month, Fieri shared a series of photos of himself and wife Lori dropping the teen off at college.
"It was a wild weekend moving @_ryderfieri into the dorms at @sandiegostateuniversity!!" Fieri captioned his post.
"It hasn’t fully hit us yet, but not seeing him everyday is gonna be hard. He’s got a cool roommate (named Hunter, omg 😂)," he added. "SDSU is really great and supportive to their students and he’s fired up. So proud of you Ryder Good luck!!"
Fieri's followers showed their support for the famous parents in the comments.
"Sounds to me like Mr. & Mrs. Fieri are going to be empty nesters. It is weird being empty nesters but you will adapt just fine. Huge congrats Ryder❤️," wrote one person.
"Dang. I've been watching grow for 15+ years via Food Network. Good luck Ryder. Good luck mom and dad. 😍" shared a second fan.
