Grandma swears she found fairies in the woods
A grandma has revealed pictures of what she claims are fairies she spotted while out walking with her granddaughter.
Debbie Garland had taken her granddaughter Lily, five, for a treasure hunt in the woods nearby her home in Yorkshire, UK, when she spotted glowing objects near some bushes.
The baffled gran quickly rushed back to her house to get her phone to film the mysterious lights – and incredibly they were still there when she got back.
Debbie claims there was a group of 10 or more 'fairies' playing in the wood and that she could make out arms and legs of the creatures, believing she effectively 'spotted Tinkerbell'.
When she showed the pictures to her friends and family, the 55-year-old claims nobody could work out what they were, and believes the only explanation is that they are fairies.
"They're fairies – they look like Tinkerbell. There's just no other explanation,” said Debbie.
"I suppose some might be sceptical but I believe in fairies and my grandchildren do too. They believe in the tooth fairy as well.”
Debbie was amazed when looking back over the shots because they appeared to be complete with arms and legs.
She said: "When I looked back at the pictures I thought 'flipping heck, they've got legs and knees'.
"Looking closely you can see the shape of ankles too.
"I just didn't know what they were. There was a group of about ten or 11 of them - perhaps 20.
"When I showed my son he said that it's just light shining through the trees, but I said no it's not – he said I was being daft.
"People can believe what they want to believe. As far as I'm concerned I was out walking with my granddaughter and we spotted little Tinkerbells flying around."
